Le Bunny Slot Review

Overview

Le Bunny is Hacksaw Gaming’s hyper‑volatile grid slot built around symbol upgrades, rainbow mechanics, cluster pays and escalating bonus tiers — the usual “Le” series formula but wrapped in a cheeky bunny theme. It plays on a 5×5 grid with cascades, mystery symbols, marked squares and rainbow upgrades that can turn a dead screen into a monster if the grid behaves. Like the rest of the series, it’s capable of filth, but equally capable of doing absolutely nothing for long stretches. Today, it chose violence.

Mick’s Take

After the battering I’ve taken so far on the LE series I fully expected one here, and the bunny didn’t let me down — BATTERED me. Several smallish wins, highest around 12x, plenty of bonus teases, but it didn’t hit. Got done by the Bunny.

Gameplay & Features

Le Bunny uses Hacksaw’s signature grid engine: cluster pays, cascades, symbol upgrades, mystery symbols and rainbow mechanics. Wins form by connecting clusters of matching symbols, which then explode and allow new symbols to fall in. The slot is built around upgrading the grid, creating persistent highlighted squares, and stacking upgrades until the screen becomes capable of huge cluster wins.

Bonus Features

3 FS Symbols – Standard Bonus

Land 3 FS symbols to trigger the base bonus. Inside the bonus:

  • Rainbows appear more frequently
  • Symbol upgrades persist for the duration
  • Mystery symbols drop more often
  • Retriggers add extra spins

This bonus relies heavily on early upgrades. If the grid upgrades quickly, it can escalate into big cluster wins. If not, it can be completely dead.

4 FS Symbols – Bunny Bonanza

Land 4 FS symbols to trigger the enhanced bonus. This tier introduces:

  • Persistent Marked Squares
  • More frequent rainbows
  • Higher upgrade potential
  • Stronger cluster formation

This tier is noticeably more powerful than the 3 FS round because the grid retains its highlighted structure. Early upgrades can carry through the entire bonus.

5 FS Symbols – Bunny Mayhem

Land 5 FS symbols to trigger the super bonus. Features include:

  • All Marked Squares remain highlighted permanently
  • Guaranteed rainbow every spin
  • Mystery symbols appear more frequently
  • Upgrades stack aggressively

This tier is capable of huge wins if the early spins behave. One good rainbow can set up the entire bonus.

High Volatility Engine

Classic Hacksaw behaviour:

  • Long quiet patches
  • Sudden bursts of action
  • Screens that go from dead to explosive instantly
  • Brutal sessions when upgrades don’t land
  • Massive potential when the grid aligns

Le Bunny is extremely volatile — even more so than other “Le” titles — because its upgrade dependency is high and its bonus can be stubborn.

Graphics & Sound

Bright cartoon visuals, cheeky bunny animations, colourful rainbows and Hacksaw’s clean UI. Sound effects are punchy, with energetic bonus music that ramps up tension. The theme is playful, but the gameplay is anything but — it’s a cute slot that punches like a heavyweight.

What It Does Well

  • Strong rainbow upgrade mechanic
  • Big cluster potential
  • Persistent highlights in higher bonus tiers
  • Guaranteed rainbows in the super bonus
  • High volatility for thrill seekers

What It Does Badly

  • Bonus can be impossible to land
  • Long dead stretches
  • Upgrades often hit useless positions
  • Highly inconsistent sessions

Who It’s For

Players who enjoy:

  • High volatility
  • Cluster pays
  • Upgrade mechanics
  • Hacksaw-style chaos
  • High-risk, high-reward gameplay

SlotTribe Verdict

Le Bunny is a volatile grid slot with massive potential when the upgrades behave, but today it couldn’t be arsed. Plenty of teases, small wins, but no bonus — and a heavy loss. Still worth playing, but expect brutality and be ready for sessions like this one.
