Sun Princess Slot Review
SlotTribe 250 Spin Test – Date: 22 October 2026 – Result: -77.40 – Bonuses: 1 – Biggest Win: 59x
Overview
Sun Princess is Hacksaw’s October 2025 cluster slot built around Sun Ray Frames, chain reactions, and three bonus variants that escalate the chaos. The core mechanic is simple: a Sun Ray Frame lands, spreads across the grid, transforms symbols, and can stack multipliers when it hits wilds. If the spread hits matching symbols, it triggers a chain reaction that can fill the entire grid.
The slot’s potential comes from these spreads and the multipliers they build. The bonuses increase the frequency of Sun Rays, add sticky multiplier wilds, and in the top bonus guarantee a Sun Ray every spin.

Mick’s Take
Wasn’t keen on this one over the 250 spins. Looks good but just doesn’t work for me. Flat mostly. Highlights were a free spins bonus which hit on spin 215 and paid a solid 59x, and a 40x base win. Outside of that, nothing happened apart from small base wins.

Gameplay & Features
Sun Ray Frames
A Sun Ray Frame can land on any symbol at the start of a spin. After wins are handled, it activates and spreads in straight lines:
- vertical
- horizontal
- or four-way
Every symbol it touches becomes the same symbol type as the one it landed on. If it spreads over a wild, that wild gains an additive 2x multiplier. Each time a Sun Ray hits that wild again, the multiplier increases by another 2x. Multiple wild multipliers add together and apply to the entire win.
Only one Sun Ray Frame can land per spin.
Chain Reaction
If the Sun Ray spreads over a symbol matching the original symbol type, it triggers a chain reaction. A new Sun Ray Frame appears on that symbol and spreads again. This can continue until the grid is full. This is where the slot’s big potential sits, but it’s rare.
Bonus Game – Solaris Grove
Triggered by landing 3 FS scatters. Awards 10 free spins.
Same mechanics as the base game but with increased chances of Sun Ray Frames.
Extra FS:
- 2 scatters = +2 spins
- 3 scatters = +4 spins
Bonus Game – Sunfire Palace
Triggered by landing 4 FS scatters. Awards 10 free spins.
Same as Solaris Grove, but when a Sun Ray hits a wild, that wild becomes sticky and stays on the grid with its multiplier until the end of the bonus. Multiplier increases by 2x every time it’s hit.
Extra FS:
- 2 scatters = +2 spins
- 3 scatters = +4 spins
Hidden Epic Bonus – Golden Eclipse
Triggered by landing 5 FS scatters. Awards 10 free spins.
Same mechanics as Sunfire Palace, but with at least one Sun Ray guaranteed every spin.
Extra FS:
- 2 scatters = +2 spins
- 3 scatters = +4 spins
Volatility & Behaviour
Sun Princess behaves like a medium-high volatility cluster slot:
- long flat stretches
- Sun Rays can be dead or explosive
- chain reactions are rare
- bonuses rely heavily on Sun Ray frequency
- sticky wild multipliers in higher bonuses carry the real power
Our session saw none of the big stuff.
Graphics & Sound
Bright solar theme, glowing rays, smooth animations, and Hacksaw’s usual clean interface. Looks great, but visuals don’t save a flat session.
What It Does Well
Strong multiplier system
Chain reactions can go insane
Three bonus tiers
Sticky multipliers in higher bonuses

What It Does Badly
Base game often flat
Sun Rays can whiff completely
Chain reactions rare
Bonuses inconsistent
Needs features to wake up

High potential bonuses
Hacksaw volatility
SlotTribe Verdict
Sun Princess looks the part and has big potential on paper, but our 250-spin test was flat. One bonus for 59x and a 40x base win were the only highlights. Everything else felt sleepy. It’s one of those slots that probably goes wild when it wants to, but this session didn’t show any of that power.
Didn’t work for me – did it work for you?
