Le Prechaun Slot Review

Overview

Le Prechaun is Hacksaw Gaming’s cheeky Irish-themed chaos machine — rainbows, multipliers, mystery symbols and the usual Hacksaw volatility that can either butter your balance or batter it. It’s built around rainbow hits that upgrade symbols and create big clusters, but like most Hacksaw slots, it can spend long stretches doing absolutely sod all before suddenly waking up. High risk, high charm, and capable of throwing out chunky wins when the rainbows behave.

Mick’s Take

Started off slowly — barely anything happening in the first 100 spins. Only a couple of bonus teases, rainbows everywhere but only connected once. Highest win was a measly 10x, and that wasn’t even from the rainbow mechanic, just a base game line.

The next 150 spins looked more promising with free spin symbols flying about constantly. I was thinking “surely it’s going to drop in”, but it never did. Hit a few more rainbows but nowhere near enough to save me from a loss.

Still… it’s a great slot. When Le Prechaun decides to behave, it can absolutely pop off. Worth a spin even though today it couldn’t be arsed.

Gameplay & Features

Rainbow Feature

The core mechanic. When a rainbow lands, it upgrades symbols on the grid, turning them into higher-paying versions. Multiple rainbows can stack upgrades, creating big cluster wins if the grid lines up. This is where most of the slot’s potential comes from.

Mystery Symbols

Mystery symbols reveal matching symbols across the grid, helping build clusters or connect upgraded symbols. When combined with rainbows, these can create explosive screens.

Free Spins Bonus

Land 3 FS symbols to trigger Arc Adventure bonus. Inside the bonus, rainbows appear more frequently and symbol upgrades stick for the duration of the round. This means one good screen can snowball into a massive cluster win.

Retriggers add more spins, and with Hacksaw’s volatility engine, the bonus can go from dead to ridiculous in a single cascade. It’s all about getting multiple rainbows early — once the grid is upgraded, the slot can explode.

4 FS Symbols – Clover the Top

Land 4 FS symbols to trigger the Clover the Top bonus, awarding 10 free spins. In this round, the Lucky Charm Bar becomes active and can award extra free spins and Position Multipliers throughout the feature. All Golden Squares remain highlighted for the entire bonus, even after being activated, giving you far more stability and much stronger upgrade potential. This tier is noticeably more powerful than the basic 3 FS round because the grid keeps its highlighted structure and the Lucky Charm Bar can escalate the bonus quickly.

5 FS Symbols – Shamrock ‘N’ Roll

Land 5 FS symbols to trigger the Shamrock ‘N’ Roll bonus, awarding 10 free spins. All Golden Squares remain highlighted for the duration of the feature, just like the 4 FS round, but the Lucky Charm Bar starts at the highest Level. This means Position Multipliers and Rainbow symbols are awarded far more frequently, dramatically increasing upgrade potential and volatility. With persistent Golden Squares and guaranteed high-level Lucky Charm Bar rewards, this tier carries the slot’s strongest win potential and can explode if early spins behave.

High Volatility Engine

Classic Hacksaw behaviour: long quiet patches, sudden bursts of action, and the potential for huge wins when the grid upgrades properly. It’s not consistent, but it’s capable of filth.
