Rogue Rats of Nitropolis Slot Review
SlotTribe 250 Spin Test – Date: 24 October 2026 – Result: -10.10 – Bonuses: 1 – Biggest Win: 25x
Overview
Rogue Rats of Nitropolis takes the chaos out into the wasteland, where the rats are blowing up anything the Nitropolis Police Department sends their way. Released in March 2025 with a max win of 25,000x and an RTP of 94.00%, this instalment breaks away from the traditional Nitropolis reel format and dives into ELK’s CollectR™ system — an infinite grid, a roaming rat, symbol upgrades, fuel management, and progressive multipliers.
This isn’t your typical slot. Rogue Rats plays more like a hybrid between a slot and a video game, with the rat moving across an endless grid collecting symbols, shooting feature icons, and building fuel to keep the run going. It’s busy, unusual, and very different from the rest of the Nitropolis series. Our 250‑spin session reflected that perfectly: a mix of mid‑range wins, one weak bonus, and a final result that wasn’t bad at all despite Mick’s complete hatred for the gameplay style.

Mick’s Take
Didn’t like it when I first played it and still don’t like it — I want to play a slot, not a fecking video game. That said, the overall result wasn’t bad, so what the hell do I know. Had base wins of 14x, 24x, 24x, and 25x, and hit the bonus once on spin 234, but it was a poor 21x.

Gameplay & Features
Bonus Game
Collect 2 bonus symbols to trigger the free spins bonus game. The bonus plays with the same CollectR™ mechanics but offers more fuel and more feature symbols. A bonus trigger with at least one super bonus symbol activates the Super Bonus, which includes a Nitro fuel boost on every spin. We hit the standard bonus once for a weak 21x.
Infinite Game Grid
The entire slot is built on an infinite grid. The rat moves around collecting payout symbols that match the colour of its vehicle, along with any feature symbols inside its visible area. This creates long gameplay loops and a very different feel compared to traditional reels.
Nitro Fuel
The rat gains fuel by collecting payout symbols and shooting feature symbols. Fuel is required for movement — no fuel, no progress. Filling the entire gauge gives a fuel boost, extending the run and allowing more symbols to be collected.
Feature Symbols
New Vehicle: Changes the rat’s colour, allowing it to collect different payout symbols.
Nitro Blob: Upgrades symbols, increasing their payout value.
Missile Silo: Expands the rat’s visible area, allowing more symbols to be collected.
Coins: Instant coin wins that drop straight into the balance.
NDP Radar
The NDP Radar increases the global multiplier. This multiplier applies to all wins and can climb steadily during longer runs, adding real potential to mid‑range hits.
Volatility & Behaviour
Rogue Rats behaves like a medium-high volatility slot with long stretches of nothing followed by sudden mid‑range wins. The CollectR™ system creates extended gameplay loops, but it also means the slot can feel slow and repetitive. Our session showed exactly that — one weak bonus, a handful of decent base wins, and a final result that wasn’t terrible despite the slot refusing to wake up properly.
Graphics & Sound
The wasteland theme fits the Rogue Rats perfectly — dusty deserts, blown‑up vehicles, and a gritty survival vibe. The animations are smooth, especially the rat’s movement and symbol interactions. Sound design is punchy, with mechanical effects and explosive cues that match the chaos of the rats’ mission.

SlotTribe Verdict
Rogue Rats of Nitropolis is a strange one — part slot, part video game, and definitely not for everyone. Mick hates it, but the session result wasn’t bad at all, with several mid‑range wins and one bonus keeping things afloat. It’s different, it’s quirky, and it’s capable of decent payouts, but you need patience and you need to enjoy the CollectR™ style.
Do you love it or hate it?
