Tower Run Treasure Steps Slot Review

SlotTribe 250 Spin Test – Date: 21 October 2026 – Result: -26.80 – Bonuses: 2 – Biggest Win: 89x

Overview

Tower Run Treasure Steps is Play’n GO’s October 2026 5×5 cascading scatter‑pays slot built around Bob, a wannabe knight with the survival instincts of a stale croissant. He’s climbing the chaotic Treasure Tower, a place full of monsters, lantern-lit walkways, floating eyes and architecture that stopped obeying physics several centuries ago. The slot mixes scatter‑pays cascades, escalating powers through the Win‑O‑Meter, a Hold & Spin Treasure Room bonus, and Bob’s persistent step‑based progression system.

With an RTP of 96.20% and a max win of 30,000x, Tower Run Treasure Steps is designed as a feature-heavy, multi-layered slot where cascades, wild injections, multipliers and hold‑and‑spin mechanics all collide. Our test session showed both sides of the slot: one strong Treasure Room bonus and one weak one, with the base game feeling slow and disjointed.

Mick’s Take

On spin 8 a 20x base win also triggered the Hold and Win feature for a very nice 89x. Triggered it again on spin 199 but this time it only coughed up a 17x. I’m sure some people may like this slot but for me it felt slow, boring and disjointed, probably because of Fat Bob doing his want-to-be-a-knight shit.

Gameplay & Features

Cascading Scatter Pays on a 5×5 Grid

There are no paylines. Land six or more matching Monster symbols or seven or more matching Royal symbols anywhere on the 5×5 grid to make a win. Winning symbols vanish, new ones fall into the gaps, and cascades continue as long as new wins form. Wilds substitute for regular paying symbols.

Win‑O‑Meter of Destiny

Every spin has nine charges and three escalating powers. Each win adds one charge. When the next spin starts, the meter resets.

Wild Rift at three charges
Dimensional Multiplier at six charges
Treasure Room at nine charges

Wild Rift

At three charges, once the current win clears, 1–4 Wilds appear in empty positions before the grid checks for another cascade.

Dimensional Multiplier

At six charges, 1–4 Wilds land and a global x2, x3, x4 or x5 multiplier applies to every win in the next cascading sequence. If the meter jumps straight to this stage and skips Wild Rift, 2–8 Wilds land instead.

Treasure Room Hold & Spin

At nine charges, the Treasure Room opens. The feature begins on an empty 5×5 Hold & Spin grid with three lives.

Coins are sticky and carry prizes of x1–x5.
Mimic Chests are sticky and land closed with prizes of x10–x5000 hidden behind countdowns of 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12.
Each countdown drops by one at the start of a respin. When it reaches zero, the Mimic opens and reveals its prize.
A Key can crack open one random closed Mimic early.

Landing a Coin, Mimic or Key restores all three lives. Opening a Mimic does too. Keys are not sticky. The feature ends when no lives remain or all 25 positions are filled.

Bob’s Ascent

Every spin moves Bob 1–6 steps along his persistent path above the reels. Every 18 steps, a Monster encounter awards an instant prize of x0.2, x0.5, x1, x2, x3, x4, x5 or x10 before symbols are evaluated.

Bob’s position is saved separately at every bet level. Change your bet and the game loads that bet’s climb; return later and Bob picks up exactly where he left off.

Volatility and Behaviour

Tower Run Treasure Steps is a feature-heavy slot with long slow stretches and occasional bursts of action. The Win‑O‑Meter adds structure, but the gameplay can feel disjointed. The Treasure Room is the main source of big wins, but it varies wildly. Our 89x bonus showed its potential, while the 17x bonus showed its weaker side.

Graphics and Sound

The theme is quirky and chaotic, with cartoon monsters, floating eyes, lantern-lit walkways and Bob waddling along the top of the tower. Animations are smooth and the Treasure Room has a strong visual identity. The soundtrack is playful and fits the comedic fantasy tone.

What It Does Well

5×5 scatter-pays grid
Cascading wins
Three-stage Win‑O‑Meter
Wild injections
Global multipliers
Treasure Room Hold & Spin
Persistent Bob progression
Huge max win of 30,000x

What It Does Badly

Gameplay feels slow
Bob’s progression can feel pointless
Treasure Room varies wildly
Base game lacks excitement
Meter resets every spin, limiting momentum

Who It’s For

Players who enjoy scatter-pays grids, cascading wins, hold-and-spin bonuses, persistent progression systems, and feature-heavy slots with lots of moving parts.

SlotTribe Verdict

Tower Run Treasure Steps is a quirky, feature-packed slot with cascades, wild injections, multipliers and a Hold & Spin Treasure Room that can deliver strong wins. Our session showed both sides: an 89x bonus early on and a weak 17x later. The slot has big potential, but the pacing is slow and Bob’s constant climbing can make the whole thing feel disjointed. If you like complex slots with lots of mechanics, it might click for you. If you prefer fast, punchy gameplay, this one will feel like a slog.
