Wicked Grin Slot Review

SlotTribe 250 Spin Test – Date: 9 October 2026 – Result: -90.10 – Bonuses: 3 – Biggest Win: 40x

Overview

Wicked Grin is Hacksaw’s October 2026 troublemaker — a 5×4 slot built around expanding Wicked Grin symbols, coin transformations, multiplier chains, and two different bonus rounds that can either tease you or explode into chaos. It’s classic Hacksaw energy: dark, cheeky, volatile, and constantly threatening to do something outrageous while mostly giving you the middle finger.

The core mechanic revolves around Wicked Grin symbols landing on the bottom row. When they do, they expand and transform the entire reel into Coins or Multipliers. Multipliers can apply up to x20 on Coins, and Diamond Coins can reveal values up to 500x. Super Wicked Grin symbols take things further by forcing adjacent Wicked Grins to expand as well, creating full‑reel chaos.

FS and Super FS symbols behave similarly — land them on the bottom row and they expand to cover the reel, awarding 5–30 spins depending on the numbers shown. Expanded FS symbols trigger the Stash N Stack bonus, while expanded Super FS symbols trigger the Coin Craze bonus.

It’s volatile, messy, and capable of big hits — but our session didn’t quite get there.

Mick’s Take

It showed a little but not enough. Hit the bonus free spins three times — first bonus on spin 20 for a poor 11x. Hit again on spin 157 for a better 40x, and finally on spin 179 for an 18x. Decent activity, but nothing that made me sit up. Typical Hacksaw: looks dangerous, plays tame.

Gameplay & Features

Wicked Grin Symbols

When a Wicked Grin symbol lands on the bottom row, it expands upward. Expanded Wicked Grin symbols transform all symbols on that reel into Coins or Multipliers. Multipliers apply their value to all Coins above them, and even to Coins on adjacent reels in the rows above. This is the slot’s main source of explosive potential.

Super Wicked Grin Symbols

Super Wicked Grin symbols behave like Wicked Grins but with extra aggression. When they expand, they force any Wicked Grin symbols on adjacent reels to expand from their current positions. This can create multi‑reel transformations and big multiplier chains.

Diamond Coins

Diamond Coins can reveal values up to 500x. When paired with multipliers from Wicked Grin expansions, they can produce massive hits — though we didn’t see any in our session.

Spreading FS Symbols

FS and Super FS symbols expand when they land on the bottom row. Each FS symbol expands to cover the entire reel, and the numbers shown on the symbol positions determine the number of free spins awarded. Expanding at least one FS triggers a bonus.

Bonus Game – Stash N Stack

Triggered by expanding FS symbols. Awards 5–30 free spins. Each reel has a Stash above it that multiplies Coin values on that reel. This bonus is more controlled and multiplier‑focused.

Bonus Game – Coin Craze

Triggered by expanding Super FS symbols. Awards 5–30 free spins. Coin Collectors save all Coin values until the end of the bonus, creating a “collect everything and cash out at the end” style feature. This is the more volatile of the two bonuses.

Volatility & Behaviour

Wicked Grin behaves like a typical Hacksaw slot — volatile, teasing, and capable of big hits but often underwhelming. Our session had three bonuses but none of them broke 40x. The slot showed signs of life but never fully woke up. It’s one of those games where you know it can explode, but most of the time it just smirks at you.

Graphics & Sound

Dark, cheeky, and stylish — classic Hacksaw. The Wicked Grin animations look great, the coin transformations are clean, and the multipliers pop nicely. Sound design is punchy and atmospheric, with enough tension to make you think something big is coming even when it isn’t.

What It Does Well

Strong multiplier mechanics
Diamond Coins up to 500x
Two distinct bonus modes
Expanding symbols create chaos
Classic Hacksaw volatility

What It Does Badly

Bonuses can be tiny
Lots of teasing, little payoff
Base game feels repetitive
High volatility with inconsistent results

Who It’s For

Players who enjoy:

Hacksaw chaos
Expanding symbol mechanics
Multiplier stacking
High volatility
Dark, edgy themes

SlotTribe Verdict

Wicked Grin has all the ingredients for big hits — expanding symbols, multipliers, Diamond Coins, and two bonus modes — but our session didn’t show much of that potential. Three bonuses and still nothing above 40x. It’s fun to watch, but unless it wakes up, it’s more grin than win.
